Hey Guys, I just wanted to give you an update. We've been reaching out to some new suppliers, and recently added Magicycle and Coastal Cruisers to family of brands we carry.
Today, however, I wanted to give you a brief introduction to our new brand the HJM (Happy Journey Maker) Bike Company.
As they note on their website, HJM Bike "provides electric bikes that merge transportation with innovation." Their mission is to "combine the traditional biking experience with up-and-coming technologies, to maintain the enjoyment of cycling with the convenience of electronics. Our products are built for lifelong use and comfort to fit your day-to-day life."
And once I got to know their products, I had to agree. Although HJM has only four models at this time, they each are very impressive, and we highly recommend them to our customers.
The top-of-the-line fat tire electric mountain bike in the HJM Bike Co. lineup is the Toury, coming in at an affordable price of just $1,499. But don't let the price fool you, because the Toury is rock solid and ready to take on the some rugged terrain.
The HJM Toury comes in two frame styles, the traditional diamond mountain bike frame style and a step-through frame. The Toury Step-Thru eliminates the top tube and makes it much easier to mount and dismount the bike. This model is suitable for men or women, and is especially helpful if you have any issues lifting your leg over the saddle.
The Toury frame is hand-welded to ensure a high loading capability, and the 4" CST puncture-resistant fat tires will provide stability and traction in the harshest environments.
Both the HJM Bike Co. Toury Fat Tire Electric Bike and the Toury Step-Thru (ST) Fat Tire Electric Bike are outfitted with the 7-speed Shimano Altus drivetrain, allowing them to be ridden like conventional bikes, with no drag from the motor.
But when you need a boost to get up a steep incline or plow through some loose sand or squishy mud, just turn on the motor and you'll be ready to go.
The Toury features a 750W (nominal output) rear hub motor, which is activated when you turn on the 5-level pedal assist system (PAS) or give the right-side half-grip twist throttle a twist. And when it comes to stopping power, the Toury is outfitted with powerful, reliable mechanical disc brakes, with automatic motor cutoff sensors, 180mm rotors front and rear, and brake lights. That's a level of added safety and protection that few other ebike brands offer.
This model compares very favorably with much more expensive ebikes, and comes fully equipped with fenders, LED headlight, rear brake light with turning indicators, a Velo saddle, and rear rack.
Transer rhymes with Prancer not Transfer. What a mouthful. But it's worth, because this cargo electric bike packs a punch and way above its price class.
Seriously, if you ever think about leaving your car in the garage and switching to an ebike, the Transer might help you decide.
Let's start with the innovative 6061-grade aluminum alloy frame, which has a heavy-duty build quality and integrated rear frame rack. With a carrying capacity of 480 lbs, the Transer can be outfitted to haul some heavy loads with easy.
The Transer has a robust 750W rear hub motor, which gives this electric cargo bike an incredible hauling capability. Paired with a long-range 48V/15Ah battery, and a dual battery mount option, the Transer will extend your range by a lot. Over 50 miles on average per charge. That's simply awesome.
As you can see in the photos, the Transer can be configured with racks, baskets, and even dual kids seats.
If you stop using your car and switch to the Transer electric cargo bike, you could save thousands of dollars a year on car registration, insurance, gas, and parking. Imagine the freedom a cargo ebike can give you.
Last but not least is the City Finder commuter electric bike from HJM Bike Co. This bike is in some ways very basic, and truly affordable. But if you drill into the specs, and really consider what you are getting for the price, the City Finder rises to the top as one of the best, affordable electric commuter bikes on the market today.
As you can see in the video below, the City Finder is a pretty nice ebike for the price.
The City Finder is frame is constructed from 6061 aircraft grade aluminum, giving it a lightweight yet rigid design. It only weighs 51 lbs with the battery mounted, so it will be easy to lift onto a bike rack or carry up a flight of stairs.
The City Finder has a 7-speed drivetrain, so you can ride it like a conventional bike and get a nice workout. And when the road rises or you just want a break from pedaling, you will enjoy the 500W rear hub motor (nominal output) that is outfitted to the City Finder. This motor is paired with a 48V/13Ah battery with high quality LG cells, which features a USB port for device charging, and can be removed for remote charging.
Operating the City Finder is a breeze, using the 5-level pedal assist system (PAS) to give you a boost while pedaling, or simply giving the throttle a twist, and you can ride without needing to pedal. This is great if you want to arrive at work or class without becoming a sweaty mess.
