You can use the Ranger in three different ways. You can use it as a regular conventional bike, taking advantage of the 7-speed drivetrain, and using no electric power at all. You can use the 5 levels of pedal assist, which automatically responds to your pedaling and provide electrical assistance. Or you can use the thumb throttle, in which case no pedaling is required and the bike does all the work.
