Velowave Pony Ebike Description

The evolution of ebike technology and design is advancing rapidly, and the Velowave Pony is a really good example of this progress. Introduced in late 2022, the Pony is a fat tire step-thru electric bike, perfect for your next biking adventure. The 20” x 4” fat tires feature blade rims and will give you excellent traction and stability no matter the terrain. The low-step 6061 AI alloy frame design includes an integrated battery and wiring, for a sleek look and aerodynamic profile. The ape hanger handlebars are adjustable, and along with the hydraulic front shock, add to the overall comfort of the ride.

The Velowave Pony is outfitted 7-Speed Shimano Revoshift twist shifter and drivetrain, so you can ride it like a conventional bike, shifting through the gears as needed to maintain a comfortable pedaling pressure. But when you need a boost, get ready, cause the Pony features a very powerful 750W (nominal output) Bafang geared rear hub motor with a maximum torque of 80Nm. That’s a lot of power.

To operate the electronics, you simply need to turn on the 5-level pedal assist system (PAS), and the motor will help propel you while pedaling. You can shift the mechanical gears to adjust the amount of pedaling power you need when getting help from the PAS. You can also engage the left-side thumb throttle, and the bike will propel itself, no pedaling required.

The Velowave Pony comes with hydraulic disc brakes that will give you exceptional stopping power. However, we do recommend that you always know your speed and control your speed, to avoid accidents and fully enjoy your ride.
