Electric Bike Report provides independent and comprehensive reviews of electric bikes. Their reviews are a must-read and must-watch before making any significant ebike purchase. The sum up their full written review of the Aventon Aventure Ebike as follows:
During our review of the Aventon Aventure, we learned this bike is all about the little details.
On paper, the all-new Aventure is extremely comparable to many of the other popular fat e-bikes on the market. It’s got a 750W Bafang rear hub motor, 4-inch Kenda tires and comes with a number of accoutrements like integrated lights and fenders we’ve come to expect in this category of e-bike. But where the Aventure sets itself apart is in the little details.
Little details like a slightly larger than average battery that’s fully integrated into the frame; like a battery readout that’s percentage based instead of icon based; and like beefier metal fenders that don’t rattle over rough roads. The Aventure, while comparable to its competitors, is just a really well done e-bike from a brand that’s made a name for itself building high-quality and high-performing affordable e-bikes.

The Aventon App will give you more control and complete display functionality.

Getting Started
First, turn on the power switch on the battery itself. Then press and hold the button on the control pad for about 3 seconds to power up the system. While the bike and display are powered on, press and hold for 3 seconds to turn off.
The AVENTURE E-Bike offers pedal assist. When using pedal assist, an electric motor supplements the rider’s own effort. To use the pedal assist, simply start pedaling, then tap the “+” or “-” symbols to increase or decrease the amount of pedal assist. Pedal assist will engage at preset speeds up to 20 MPH.
The AVENTURE E-Bike is equipped with a throttle, which is mounted near the rider’s left thumb, to propel the bike without pedaling. The throttle can propel you at speeds up to 20 MPH. The throttle is "on-demand" meaning you can engage the throttle at anytime including from a complete stop while in PAS 1 through 5. However, we strongly encourage you to pedal first before engaging the throttle.
The motor stops when you stop pedaling, squeeze the brake levers, or release the throttle. Simply start pedaling again to re-engage the motor.
Battery & Charging
We recommend charging the battery off the bike indoors, in moderate temperature conditions. To charge the battery, plug the charger into the charging port and then connect the charger to a wall outlet. The LED indicator light will be red when charging and will turn green when charging is complete.
