to use this 48v solar panel to charge a 48v bacon mule with 1000watt ultra--does this charge battery direct. by DC to do you need to covert it to 120AC then back to 48v DC using home charger ?
To charge a battery using a solar panel does require a power inverter. The solar panel voltage MUST BE LOWER than the battery voltage which is 48V on our bikes. Max Solar Panel Power 300W and output of 48V. The wattage doesn't have any correspondence to the motor itself, that's just that wattage from the solar panel itself.
