We all know that electric bikes are cool, right?
They give us Freedom.
But some ebikes are just cooler than others. Some have unique designs and colors that give us a thrill, and they have features and benefits that just make us say “WOW, what a cool ride!”
The Snapcycle R1 Step-Thru is listed as one of the coolest electric bikes due to its authentic cruiser-style low-step frame design, which allows for a super comfortable ride. The foam saddle on the bike is ergonomically designed to ensure a comfortable and fun ride and its ability to be adjusted in any direction allows you to find the most comfortable position perfect for your riding style.
With its 750W continuous (1200W peak) powerful motor and a long range 48V/14Ah Samsung battery this bike can tackle almost any terrain.
The R1 Step-Thru is not only cool looking, it also features several convenient drive modes. These include the 5-level Pedal Assist System (PAS) and a right-side twist throttle which allows you to ride without pedaling. There is also a 7-speed drivetrain.
The R1 Step-Thru also comes with really cool accessories which includes Integrated front & rear brake light, fenders, kickstand and a sturdy rear rack.
Shifting gears, we are going to take a look at the Cheetah Mini. This fat tire electric bike gets its retro stylings from the design of Café Racer motorcycles of 1960s London, and features a stunning teardrop “gas tank” which hides the long-range battery, a large headlamp with grill, short wheelbase, adjustable stem, and many other features.
When you add the rear rack and dual-color pannier bags, the Cheetah Mini scores a 10 out of 10 on the scale of coolness.
The Revi Cheetah Mini can be ridden around town, turning heads wherever you go. But with its fat tires and robust electronics, the Mini can also handle moderate off-road trail riding. It has the power to climb steep hills, and hydraulic disc brakes for authoritative stopping power and auto motor cutoffs for safety.
Why did we include the Big Dog Off-Road folding electric bike on our list of the coolest ebikes? For several reasons. This fat tire folding ebike has a full-suspension frame and powerful motor, allowing it to be ridden in some of the roughest off-road places you want to go. We also think that the wide range of color graphics available are pretty awesome. There is no doubt that a lot of thought went into the unique design of this bike.
The Big Dog Off-Road comes with a high-torque 750W nominal output (1200W peak) rear hub motor by 8Fun (a Bafang brand), paired with a long-range, removable 48V/15Ah with Boston Power USA lithium ion cells. You can control this off-road monster using the 5-level pedal assist system (PAS) or the right-side thumb throttle. The throttle allows you to ride without the need for pedaling. The Big Dog also has a 7-speed derailleur, so it can be ridden like a conventional bike when you want to get a workout.
The hydraulic disc brakes provide incredible stopping ability, and there are automatic motor cutoffs, so when you engage the brakes, power to the motor will be disconnected. This is a very cool safety feature that is not found on many ebikes.
If off-road riding prowess and incredible style are important to you, then you should definitely check out the Big Dog Off-Road folding fat tire electric bike. It's featured in our Best Ebikes for RVers review.
